Mulled Wine

A warm hug for your insides... [yellow tail] Merlot Mulled Wine.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • Juice of 1 Lemon
  • 6 Cloves
  • 2 Star anise
  • 1 bottle of [yellow tail] Merlot
  • To garnish: 1 lemon and orange wheel

Preparation

  1. Place water, sugar, cinnamon, orange and lemon juices, cloves and star anise into large saucepan

  2. Bring to the boil, then return to a simmer and stir until the sugar has dissolved.

  3. Add bottle of [yellow tail] Merlot & heat slowly for 15 minutes.

  4. Strain, pour into glass and garnish.
