John Casella completed his winemaking education in Oenology at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga, in 1982. He then gained valuable experience in winemaking and winery management, with 12 years spent working for Riverina Estate Wines.
John has always been involved in family business and assisted in the day to day management of the winery from a very young age. In 1994 John returned full time to the family winery as Managing Director. At this time Casella Wines was continuing to focus on the production and sale of bulk and bottled wine, however John with his natural motivation was looking to further expand his parents vision and drive the growth of the family business. This expansion of Casella Wines continues today.
