John Casella received an Honorary Doctorate.....

......but whatever you do, don't call him Dr Casella!

Special congratulations to John Casella, who received an Honorary Doctorate of Business from Charles Sturt University (CSU) on April 11th, 2008 for his contribution to the Riverina Wine industry.

As a strong supporter of wine science at CSU, John sponsors scholarships in the science faculty of viticulture and wine science degrees and has also promoted wine education and research programs through the university.

"The university told me some months ago about the honour, and it was quite a surprise" says John, "We've tried as best we can to be involved in the industry, not just economically but with students as well. It's a great achievement to be recognised by CSU."
