Yeppon [yellow tail] Wine Dinner

On the 15th of July Casella Wines hosted a launch of the [yellow tail] Reserve range in Central QLD. A wine dinner for 80 of the region's wine lovers was held at the Capricorn Hotel. Randy Heron (Senior Winemaker) was a hit with the crowd, providing added information not previously provided at such events in the area. The wines were perfectly matched with all meals and a great time was had by all.

As we got to the pointy end of the evening, the love for the wines and appreciation for the support provided by Casella Wines was evident as the orders rolled in. The genuine willingness of the patrons to learn was quite evident with the number of questions fielded by Randy and the team. The success of the event also opened other doors for Casella Wines with this group ensuring a greater presence in their on-premise business.

It was a great night.

The [yellow tail] Deck rocked the Melbourne Good Food and Wine Show

The [yellow tail] team gave Melbourne a deck to chill out on last weekend at the Good Food and Wine Show.
It was lots of fun and great to meet some avid fans. We made some new friends too.

Victorian Dance Championships

[yellow tail] put it’s dancing shoes on and hit Melbourne as one of the sponsors of the Australian Dancesport Championships. It was [yellow tail]’s fifth year present, so a warm welcome was in store for the [yellow tail] team. Held on the 24th of April in Melbourne’s Town Hall, competitors from all over Victoria came to compete in ballroom dance heats with the salsa and Latin moves wowing the crowd. [yellow tail] joined in the fun by offering spectators the chance to put their feet up and taste some of their favourite varietals throughout the day. Mark Wilson, one of our biggest fans, was there to lend a hand and kept everyone on their toes!

Relax on the [yellow tail] Deck at the Good Food and Wine Show 2010

Wine o’clock – that magical time of day when the sun is setting, the birds are calling their evening song, and dinner smells are beginning to waft from the neighbours’ house.

The team at [yellow tail] know how enjoyable a delicious glass of wine, enjoyed with some good tunes, family and friends at the end of the day, can be. Even more so when it is enjoyed in the comfort of your own backyard. That’s why they have decided to re-create that atmosphere at the Good Food and Wine Show this year.

The [yellow tail] Deck will be a place where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the show, listen to great tunes playing all day, and taste some of the delicious [yellow tail] range, including new varietals like the Sauvignon Blanc.

Also, this year all wines sampled at the stand will be available to buy on the spot, and with every purchase of a straight or mixed case, you will receive a fancy carry box. Visitors to the stand can also go in the draw to win the ultimate [yellow tail] music and wine prize pack – a wine cooler box with a built in iPod docking station and speakers, and a mixed case of [yellow tail] wine – the perfect prize for entertaining friends on your own back deck! The prizes will be drawn after every show.

That’s right, [yellow tail] is bringing it home this year at the Good Food and Wine Show, so head down and seek out the [yellow tail] Deck. It will be the stand where people are tapping their feet to a few tunes, catching up with their friends whilst enjoying their favourite wine..

The Sydney Royal Easter Show - A great place to meet new friends.

The [yellow tail] team met two new friends; Scott and Debbie Wolf from Kenosha, Wisconsin USA at the show. Scott and Debbie were visiting their daughter who is at school in Australia. They are big [yellow tail] fans and from what I recall their favourite drop was [yellow tail] Shiraz.

It was great to meet you both, be sure to look out for our new [yellow tail] Reserve range over in the US, it’s delicious.
